// final-year ecm student | full-stack & embedded systems developer

I build systems that go from sensor to server.

Divya Sri Karrolla — final-year Electronics & Computer Engineering student at Anurag University, Hyderabad. I build embedded hardware and full-stack web applications, combining my Electronics & Computer Engineering background with practical software development. My work includes a patent-filed gesture communication device, IoT solutions, and Spring Boot applications.

// 01 — about

From Electronics fundamentals to full-stack development

I started my journey in Electronics & Computer Engineering by learning about circuits, signals, and microcontrollers. As I explored software development, I developed a strong interest in full-stack web development alongside embedded systems. This combination has helped me build projects that integrate hardware with software to solve practical problems and improve my problem-solving skills — and have carried that systems-level thinking into full-stack web development. That combination shows up directly in my project work: hardware prototypes that need real backend infrastructure, and web applications built with the same rigor I'd apply to a circuit board.

  • Final-year B.Tech, Electronics & Computer Engineering — Anurag University, Hyderabad
  • Co-inventor on an Indian patent application (Patents Act, 1970) for a gesture-based ISL communication device
  • Co-author on a published research paper related to the same project
  • Cisco Cyber Security certified

Gesture-Based ISL Communication Device

Real-time sign language translation wearable

A wearable device that interprets Indian Sign Language gestures in real time, developed to help bridge communication for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Co-filed as an Indian patent application under the Patents Act, 1970, guided by Dr. Raghu Indrakanti, and formed the basis of a co-authored research paper.

SpendWise

Personal expense tracker

A personal finance tracker developed using Spring Boot, Spring Security, MySQL, and a responsive HTML/CSS/JavaScript frontend. It allows users to manage expenses securely with authentication, track spending, and maintain their financial records through a simple and user-friendly interface. with a Spring Boot backend (port 8081), MySQL persistence, and Spring Security-based authentication, paired with a vanilla JS/HTML/CSS frontend in a dark "Obsidian Luxury" aesthetic.

  • DTO layer, hashed password storage, and a full CSV export endpoint
  • Custom dark-themed UI built without a frontend framework
